Los Angeles-based and San Diego native singer-songwriter, Mariah Counts, has an incredible way of using her authenticity to connect with and evoke raw emotions from her listeners. As a life long athlete, she leads and inspires everyone to give all or nothing to the things they are passionate about.
Mariah quit competitive crossfit training in 2018, after filming Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and NBC’s, ‘The Titan Games’ to pursue her dream of writing/sharing her thoughts, experiences and love with fans through her music. With her passion for songwriting evolving throughout every obstacle and turning point in her life, Mariah’s real stories and edgy melodies expose a truly raw artist whose unique vocals have the energy to spark a heartfelt response.
She carries a sense of comfort/familiarity in her lyrics and performances that gives her fans a friend they can look up to, relate with and feel connected to.
Off her new EP "Truly Ugly Feelings" Mariah touches on the transitional phase when someone is coming out and the obstacles one has to overcome in the process of letting everyone know that sexuality is "not a phase".
